The knife blades are high carbon steel, and the best kind is often found in old tools. Friends and neighbors keep bringing me little treasures found in junkyards such as old lawn mower blades, circular saw blades, and old rulers, which I then have fun repurposing. I am fascinated to see how the life of an object can be transformed. It is a win-win in the truest sense! It gives me joy.
